“When Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, ‘Don’t be afraid. Only believe.’”
– Mark 5:36
In a world full of uncertainty, we stand firm on the unshakable truth of God’s Word. The Bible reminds us that though everything else may be shaken, the Church remains steadfast. Jesus declared:
“… I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
– Matthew 16:18
Celebrating Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit
This is the hope we hold onto—Jesus has positioned us for victory. He calls His Church to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. As our soon-coming King, He is preparing His Bride—the Church—not as a defeated or broken body but as a radiant, powerful, and grace-filled presence in the world.
“He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.”
– Ephesians 5:27 (NLT)
“But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded.”
– Romans 5:20 (AMPC)
Ignite Church exists to Reach the Lost and Equip the Saints. How do we equip the saints? By building faith in Jesus Christ. Faith grows as we dive deeper into His Word and draw nearer to His presence. At Ignite Church, we believe in the eternal life promised through faith in Jesus and invite you to join us in growing, worshiping, and walking in His abundant grace.
Ignite Church stands firmly on the Bible as the ultimate guide for truth, morality, and human conduct. As the divinely inspired and unchanging Word of God, it serves as the definitive foundation for everything we believe and practice, shaping our faith and guiding our lives.
At Ignite Church, we believe that giving is an act of worship, rooted in faith and obedience to God’s Word. The practice of giving has been a cornerstone of faith since the beginning and carries blessings and promises for those who honor God through their generosity.
Tithing
Tithing, the act of giving 10% of our gross income, is not just a practice but a principle established by God. It belongs to Him. As Malachi 3:10 says:
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Offerings
An offering is an act of gratitude, given above and beyond the tithe. It reflects a cheerful heart, as 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 teaches:
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
First Fruits Giving
First Fruits Giving is a joyful acknowledgment of God’s provision, offered after receiving an increase, such as a raise or bonus. Deuteronomy 26:1-5 reminds us to honor God with the first of our increase, setting ourselves apart for His continued blessings.
Almsgiving
Giving to those in need is a reflection of God’s heart. Proverbs 28:27 says:
“Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.”
Sacrificial Giving
This type of giving goes beyond comfort, reflecting deep trust in God’s provision. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:21:
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Honoring a Man of God
Honoring God’s servants through giving is a biblical principle that brings unique blessings. The story in 2 Kings 4:9-10 demonstrates the generosity of a woman who provided for a prophet, which led to extraordinary favor and provision in her life.
Partnership with Traveling Ministries
Supporting traveling ministries aligns us with their mission to spread the Gospel. Luke 8:1-3 recounts how Jesus’ ministry was supported by faithful partners who gave from their resources, helping to advance the Kingdom of God.
At Ignite Church, every form of giving is an opportunity to grow in faith and participate in God’s work. Through tithes, offerings, and special gifts, we honor God, support His Church, and experience the blessings He promises.
At Ignite Church, we affirm that all human life is sacred, created by God in His image, and holds immeasurable worth. This sanctity encompasses every stage and condition of life, including pre-born children, the elderly, those with physical or mental challenges, and every individual from conception to natural death. As believers, we are called to honor, defend, and protect the value of all human life. (Psalm 139)
At Ignite Church, we uphold that marriage, as ordained by God, is a sacred covenant between one biological man, one biological woman, and God. Accordingly, Ignite Church recognizes only marriages that align with this biblical definition.
Our pastors, ministers, and staff will solemnize and participate only in weddings uniting one man and one woman. Furthermore, all church facilities and properties, both present and future, will be used exclusively to host weddings that reflect this definition of marriage.
At Ignite Church, we affirm that God creates each person as male or female, and these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect His image and nature. (Genesis 1:26-27.) Rejecting one’s biological sex is a rejection of the divine image instilled by God.
We believe that marriage, as defined by Scripture, is the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive covenant. (Genesis 2:18-25.) Sexual intimacy is a gift from God and is intended solely for the context of marriage between a man and a woman. (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4.) Any sexual activity outside of this definition of marriage—including, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and the use of pornography—is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.)
To uphold the integrity of Ignite Church and provide a biblical example for members and the community, it is essential that all employees and volunteers agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22.)
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess their sins, turn from them, and seek forgiveness through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.) Every individual is deserving of compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.) Harassment or hateful behavior toward anyone is contrary to Scripture and the values of Ignite Church.
We believe that gathering together in person is essential for the life and mission of the Church. Scripture mandates regular assembly for worship, fellowship, and the daily preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Meeting in person is integral to fulfilling biblical sacraments, such as laying hands on the sick, singing praises to God, shouting for joy, dancing in worship, and baptizing new believers. These acts of worship and obedience are to be carried out regardless of the size of the gathering—whether a few, dozens, or thousands—and in all circumstances, whether in times of peace or conflict, sickness or health, indoors or outdoors.
Ignite Church will hold in-person gatherings without imposing restrictions regarding clothing, devices, masks, immunizations, vaccines, or other mandates that are not explicitly prescribed in Scripture. We stand on the biblical foundation that prioritizes the gathering of believers as commanded in God’s Word. (Zephaniah 2:1; Mark 2:27; Hebrews 10:25.)
The Authority of Scripture
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Deity and Ministry of Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ—His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious death, and atonement through His shed blood. We affirm His bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and ongoing priestly ministry. (1 Timothy 3:16; Romans 3:25-26)
The Trinity
We believe in the triune God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)
Evangelism and Missions
We believe in the importance of evangelistic and missionary efforts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18)
Salvation and the Holy Spirit
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity. We also believe in God’s power to preserve and sustain His people. (Hebrews 9:22; Jude 24-25)
Sanctification and Holiness
We believe in sanctification and holiness as God’s design for His Church, the Bride of Christ. (Ephesians 5:25-27)
Sexual Purity
We believe that sexual purity is essential for all believers, requiring abstinence from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, and other practices forbidden by Scripture. (Romans 1:26-27; Hebrews 13:4-6)
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God and intended for a lifetime. (Matthew 19:4-6)
Baptism as an Expression of Faith
We believe baptism is an outward expression of an individual’s inward acceptance of Jesus Christ. (Acts 10:47-48)
Believer’s Baptism by Immersion
We believe that baptism is for believers in Jesus Christ and is to be administered by immersion, symbolizing Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, as well as our new life in Him. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as experienced on the Day of Pentecost. This includes the evidence of speaking in tongues, the operation of charismatic gifts and ministries, and the fruit of the Spirit in a believer’s life. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:46; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:8-11; Galatians 5:22-23)
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing, which is made available through Christ’s atonement. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17)
The Resurrection and Rapture of the Church
We believe that the resurrection of the Church (rapture) will occur before the second coming of Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10)
